I never thought Detroit, Michigan would be considered ‘central’, but Nima came in from New York, Robin from DC, and I made my way from Chicago to collide in the Motor City for a great session.
Nima and Robin are simply awesome. They are one of those couples that are just a blast to be around, and are so comfortable with each other. I had a great time with the two of them wandering Detroit capturing images of who they really are, two people madly in love who enjoy being in each other’s presence. I know its going to be a great day when the smiles I see are not the I-know-a-camera-is-on-me-so-I-need-to-look-happy-smile, but just pure, natural smiles because everyone is just happy. Good times!
We headed to the streets of Detroit and captured some great images of these two.

I’ve got to start by giving massive props out to Renaye and Santhosh. I show up to winter shoots with my jacket, winter hat, gloves…whatever I can do to stay warm. These guys braved the weather much better than I did, and looked better doing it too! :) It didn’t matter how cold it got, these two were more than willing to stay warm by cuddling up and making awesome images.

P.S. I’m officially caught up with all my shoots from 2010! (…not counting personal stuff) And with that, Nate Mathai Photography is on Christmas vacation until after the new year. Hope you all have a safe, happy and blessed holiday season, and we’ll catch up in 2011 ;)
