I never get sick of proposals. There is so much emotion in such a short period of time – stress, anxiousness, relief, joy. And that’s just me…can you imagine what my couples are going through?! ;) A proposal is something where, at least in the majority that I shoot, everyone knows the outcome. The girl is pretty much expecting the question, the guy knows she is going to say yes, and I know that that if any tears are shed, its simply joy from all involved. But that doesn’t remove any of the excitement.

Kajal loves the Chicago Botanic Gardens, and so Prerak thought that would be a great location to propose when he came into town to visit. I ran into a couple of Kajal’s friends on my arrival and we staked out the spot that Prerak was planning to pop the big question. As the time came close, her friends hid and I kept an eye out. Prerak lured her into the English Walled Garden and began a casual stroll around the area. I’m pretty sure Kajal was wondering why, on such a beautiful fall day, he wanted to spend so much time here, when she would much rather go see the Waterfall or Japanese Gardens…but love is walking around an empty fountain with your boyfriend and not asking any questions.
