Cancun 2010

[3 min read]

Consider this a ‘first breath’ for reviving the blog :) I’ll have more time-relevant posts coming up soon, but this is more to show some pretty pictures before I get back into the swing of things. :)

Last October, I traveled with the wife’s side of the family to Cancun to celebrate the in-law’s 40th wedding anniversary. Though there were a handful of “bumps and bruises” along the way (missing passports for some family members in Philly delaying their arrival, scattered showers during our stay, poor service from staff, tour guide jumping off cliff without being secured during to zip-line [and surviving with just a mild concussion]), it was still a great time to get away, spend time with family, and just relax on the beaches.

The wife and I did a mini-excursion on our own to the ruins that consisted of rappelling into a fresh water cave, kayaking, and climbing the ruins, but I chose to leave the camera behind…so no images from there.  Sorry! But here’s just a quick glimpse into a relaxing family vacation across the border.  Enjoy!

Interesting note: About a month after we returned from our trip, news went out about an explosion at the resort where we were staying – how crazy is that?!
