the process

As I was editing my last shoot, I figured it might be fun to give you all a little behind-the-scenes glimpse into how I prep my files. Since I retouch my images, there’s a lot more time involved than just shooting the day-of. This is a very quick overview of mainly just some edits (as there’s obviously back-ups, uploading images, presentation, etc. that isn’t in the clip).
I think the bigger reason for me to do this was because I love jumping back to my video roots to give me another creative push. It’s been almost 5 years since I’ve done any real video work, so I like jumping back in when I get a chance as a separate outlet for creativity. Hope you guys enjoy this! So I’ve been stuck in front of my computer for what feels like 75% of my days recently, so I jumped on the formspring.me bandwagon, an online site dedicated to simply answering questions! The Blender – Getting Help

A normal workout this morning at Cardinal got my mind thinking – we all need help.
Agree? Disagree? Why do think people don’t ask for help/assistance on important things, and what do you think we can do to help us overcome that? Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

The Blender – Embarrassing Moment

It’s happened! I finally came up with a name and posted a new video! Woo hoo!
The vide blog entries are going to be called “The Blender – a delicate mix of business, life and all things baller.” This name came out of nowhere a few weeks ago and not by reader suggestion, but I still feel like I should give away the $10 iTunes gift card. It only seems fitting to give it to a duo that seemed to have tried the hardest- Raina and Rincey from up my Wisconsin e-mailed me a list of 20 names! (Of course, a few were just duplicates that ended with ‘in under 5 minutes’, but still!) Here are a couple of their suggestions:

-”Nate to the Point”
So congratulations guys…I’ll get you your ‘winnings’ shortly.
Now on to the video! It’s a little ‘getting to know you’ one, and would love to get some feedback! Let me know what you think, other things you’d like to hear me talk about, and also share along with me. That’s the only way to make this blog more of a discussion and it helps me know I’m not talking to myself :)
