Merry Christmas!

[2 min read]

For the past few years I’ve done a digital Christmas Card. (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) Now that I have a daughter, the wife said I need to grow up and actually mail an physical card out to family/friends. After months of heated philosophical discussions covering cost vs. benefit, message vs. means, and other important considerations (of which I believe I won them all), we came to a compromise. Ah, the compromise…one of the easiest outs in all types of arguments. We decided that we would do a physical card (of which my wife got to choose the content), but I would still be able to continue my digital cards and design those however I wish.

The first image is what we used for the ‘analog’ card. We chose a couple images from the family session I shot of us– this was a postcard and on the back had a verse from Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

And the second image was the first digital Christmas card where I wasn’t featured. Such is the life of a parent.
